“There he is!” shouted one of the boys.

Navin was running from a group of five boys. He still remembered the savage beating he had got last year. He ran past his chemistry laboratory to the staircase and went to first floor of his college building. It was 7PM and there was no soul in sight from whom Navin could ask for help. He saw one of the classrooms open, ran inside it and hid behind the door.

The sound of footsteps was getting louder by the second and Navin could now make out that the boys were now right outside the classroom.

Kidhar gaya? (Where did he go?)” one of the boys asked.

Navin was praying that they would just go away. And then all of a sudden there was complete silence. A hand came out of no where and dragged Navin out of the classroom in the corridor. Two of the boys grabbed each of Navin’s hand and third on grabbed both his legs and lifted him in the air. And the merciless beating started.

WHOOP! BLAM! DHUP! WHOOP! BLAM! DHUP!

After 30 seconds or so the boys put Navin on the ground laughing hard. One the boys gave a hand to Navin helping him get up. And then he hugged him.

“Happy birthday Navin!” they all shouted.

Kamino! Tum logon kaa bhi birthday aayega. Tab dekhna! (Your birthdays are also lined up. Then we will see.)” said Navin.

“Lets go now. Its time for our treat. McD?” said one of the boys.
